INA Solar Launches Campaign To Boost Solar Adoption In India
Insolation Energy Ltd. (INA Solar) has launched 'Azaadi Mahotsav 2026 – Bijli Bill Se Azaadi Ka Jashn', a nationwide campaign to promote solar adoption among households, commercial establishments and industries while highlighting the potential for lower electricity bills. The campaign seeks to raise awareness about the economic and environmental benefits of solar energy and encourage consumers to adopt renewable energy solutions for long-term energy independence. "India is moving rapidly towards energy self-reliance, and solar energy is playing a pivotal role in this transformation. Through 'Azaadi Mahotsav 2026', we aim to encourage more homes, businesses and industries to adopt clean energy solutions that reduce electricity costs while contributing to a greener and more sustainable future," said Manish Gupta, Chairman, and Vikas Jain, Managing Director, INA Solar. Module Manufacturing Capacity The company said it currently has an annual solar module manufacturing capacity of 5.5 GW and is expanding its manufacturing footprint with a new facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. The upcoming plant will add 4.5 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity and 18,000 metric tonnes per annum of aluminium frame manufacturing capacity. According to the company, the expansion supports the Government of India's Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat initiatives while strengthening the domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem. INA Solar manufactures TOPCon solar modules with capacities ranging from 500 Wp to 635 Wp for residential, commercial, industrial, solar park and solar pump applications. The company said the modules are designed to offer high efficiency, long-term reliability and improved performance across project segments. As part of the campaign, INA Solar will undertake digital and on-ground outreach programmes to educate consumers about the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy and drive wider adoption of renewable energy solutions across the country.
