Srinagar, Aug 25: Senior political leader, former Union Minister and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday extended greetings to the people of the country, particularly those in Jammu and Kashmir, on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم). In his message, Azad said the birth of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) brought a message of mercy and blessings for humanity and his teachings continued to guide people towards peace, love, justice, tolerance and brotherhood. “On this blessed day, as we celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), I extend my heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi,” Azad said. He said the Prophet’s teachings emphasised truthfulness, honesty and service to humanity as the real measures of success. Azad prayed that Allah grants people the strength to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), deepen their love for him and guide the country and its people towards peace, prosperity and unity. “Milad-un-Nabi Mubarak,” he said.
