Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Vijayadashami and Dussehra. He urged the people to follow the path of truth, righteousness and social harmony. In his message issued on the eve of Vijayadashami, the Chief Minister said the festival symbolises the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness, good over evil and truth over falsehood. He said the occasion of Dussehra reminds people to overcome the evils within themselves and embrace the path of morality and good conduct in their lives. Dhami emphasised that there was a need for everyone to rise above ego, remain committed to truth and work collectively towards strengthening social harmony in the state and the country. He said Vijayadashami was not merely a festival but also an occasion to reflect on the values of truth, justice and righteousness. Chief Minister Dhami further observed that the festival reinforces the belief that those who stand by the truth ultimately emerge victorious, regardless of the challenges they face. Appealing to people to imbibe the teachings of Lord Ram in their daily lives, CM Dhami said the ideals and principles of Lord Ram could guide individuals towards a meaningful and virtuous life. He also called upon people to celebrate the festival with a spirit of unity, goodwill and mutual cooperation. On the auspicious occasion, the Chief Minister prayed to Lord Ram for the well-being and prosperity of everyone."On this auspicious festival celebrating the victory of righteousness and truth, I pray to Lord Ram that everyone remains happy, that all are blessed, and that every household is filled with happiness, prosperity and well-being," he said.
