The prices of diesel, kerosene, octane and petrol have been increased by Tk 20 per liter, less than a month after the previous price adjustment. The new prices will come into effect from Monday. The Energy and Mineral Resources Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a gazette notification on Sunday announcing the new prices. According to the notification, the retail price of diesel has been increased from Tk 115 to Tk 135 per liter, kerosene from Tk 135 to Tk 155, octane from Tk 145 to Tk 165, and petrol from Tk 140 to Tk 160 per liter. Fuel prices are generally reviewed and fixed at the beginning of each month. However, this time the prices have been increased by Tk 20 per liter with ten days still remaining in the month.
