Vande Bharat Freight EMU has raised new hopes towards faster freight transportation of Indian Railways. This state-of-the-art freight train with 16 coaches is being tested at a speed of up to 130 km/hr on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara-Mumbai Central section. Performance, stability and safety are being tested in the trials being conducted under the supervision of RDSO. Its focus is on faster movement of e-commerce, pharma, electronics, courier and other time-sensitive and high-value goods.
